How to get to Mérida

By Car

Mérida is an important road transport hub. It connects north to south via the A-66 “Vía de la Plata” highway (Gijón-Seville), and east to west via the A-5 highway (Madrid-Lisbon) and the A-43 highways (Lisbon-Valencia).

Parking

Vectalia manages two public parking lots in the city.

Vectalia offers a 20% discount on the per-minute rate off the current rates and a 40% discount on the 24-hour pass. To qualify for these discounts, proof of attendance at a performance of the Mérida Classical Theater Festival must be presented by presenting a ticket for that day’s performance.

By Train

Trains depart and arrive in Mérida from Madrid, Seville, Badajoz, Cáceres, and Ciudad Real.

The closest airports to Mérida are Badajoz, 45 km away, and Seville, 200 km away.

IBERIA L.A.E., the preferred airline of the MÉRIDA INTERNATIONAL CLASSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL, will grant a 10% discount to festival attendees under the agreement reached.
